On February 1, 2020, the Snow Leopard Conservancy celebrated a 15-year partnership with Project Snow Leopard under the guidance of Manager Ghulam Mohammad of the Baltistan Wildlife Conservation and Development Organization (BWCDO).

Mohammad traveled from Pakistan to the US to speak at a special event sponsored by the Conservancy held at the Pomeroy Center in San Francisco, California, on Saturday afternoon. During his presentation, he described the work he is doing to secure a future for the snow leopard by assisting local communities to better co-exist with this apex predator.

Also speaking at the event was Ashleigh Lutz-Nelson, Assistant Curator of Carnivores at the San Francisco Zoo and Director Rodney Jackson of the Conservancy.

And a special presentation was given by the Wild Cat Education and Conservation Fund featuring special snow leopard ambassador, Bhutan.
